Firmware

Issues around flashing livebox firmware HAH or Orange ready for jail breaking.

Is there a "How To" on flashing a 328 with the new HAH Firmware?

Hi,

I have a few 328 chips and would like to flash one with the latest firmware. Is there any instructions on this? I have looked around but can't find anything.

I have an arduino board and an FTDI cable, so could use one of a few approaches. I was thinking of burning the arduino bootloader and then just flashing the "liveboxHAH" code onto the chip.

I think my quiery is around the chip running at 7MHz, do I need to set some fuse bits? Or will I be able to get away without doing that?

Cheers

Problem with freezing CurrentCost Device and livebox RF usage

Hi!

Since there is a problem with AVR (RF) freezing only solveable with permanent rebooting the livebox running on the old bascom code,
I flashed the new code from brett an now I am on Build 287/3.4.

Since I am on the new AVR firmware, I have the following problem about every 12 hours (e.g. over night):

The CurrenCost device doesn't show any actual Watts on it's display any more, instead only  "--------- W".
The livebox again does not execute RF-changes (via twitter, googlecal or direct) any more.

Clean HAH Firmware Update

The script to do a clean firmware update doesn't seem to work, see the output below :-

Filezilla question

Hi...

I'm a noob, so please be gentle....

I've got Filezilla running (bog standard install).... I've downloaded etc.tar and renamed it to 'u' and put copies in what I think are the right places (home dir for anonymous user, root, HAH subdir....) but I keep getting...

Arduino sketch - compilation error

Hi,

after Derek gave the link to the liveboxHAH.pde Ardurino Sketch to me l tried to compile and burn it via the ardurino environment to the 328.

Unfortunately there is an error during compilation of the Sketch:

283.1 beta and 3.4 avr issues

I answer to questions raised in the "http://www.homeautomationhub.com/content/persistent-gcal-issues" post. I have seen the following.

was running 283 and 3.3avr with no issues.

To test google cal items i updated to 283.1 and noticed 1wire temp not registering and no RF.

this persisted after a reboot also so I updated AVR to 3.4 thinking the changes Brett had made regarding xon/xoff might need the new avr firware also. However this didnt fix it.

I reverted back to 283 still with 3.4 and all is good again.

Thanks,

Garry.

AVR Firmware Update

A couple of users, Garry and Dan, have been asking about the AVR firmware and Brett "suggested" I might give an update, so here goes....

Background:

There are some issues around the current BASCOM compiled version that are leading to problems with RF control.  I believe Garry and Brett have found a workaround that reboots the AVR giving back control of the RF equipment, see this post for more info :- http://www.homeautomationhub.com/content/avr-reboot

Moving forward:

Reset Livebox

flashing to OpenWrt

Hi,

ive been using hah for a wile now, and before i ask my question, i'd just like to add my thanks for not only providing the firmware, and the schema for me to design my own hah hardware, but for giving me the inspiration to take it to the next level (a thin client running debian [headless] with 4" touch screen).

Google Calendar

Hi Chaps,

Has something changed since the Google Calendar wiki was written?

I have been trying to schedule some events and the box is not finding any calendar items. There are definately some present.

From the debug log I just get this

[dbg][parse.c:33:xapGetValueF] section=event key=start

[dbg][filter.c:136:xapCompareFilters] match=0

[dbg][googlecal.c:196:googlePeriodEventCheck] Google query params: start-min=2011-07-10T17:46:00Z&start-max=2011-07-10T17:47:00Z&singleevents=true
