Firmware

Issues around flashing livebox firmware HAH or Orange ready for jail breaking.

I am an Idiot

I am a right dimwit.

spent an hour knocking up a hah pcb and display and 2 hours trying to figure why the lcd was not "working".

now i think i may have found the problem and i am sure Derek will confirm the box wasnt re-flashed up to be a HAH!!!

havent flashed it yet but would i be right in thinking i will get nowt on display if the livebox isnt flashed?

Box unresponsive after flashing HAH

Hi

I'm just getting started with my Livebox. I've succeeded in downgrading the firmware using a TFTP server, and followed all the other steps apparently successfully. I have then tried flashing the HAH image, and at this point everything seems to go wrong. It apparently flashes correctly (and I've also tried doing the same with a Win XP box) but after rebooting the box it appears to do nothing, and in particular it does not seem to request / be allocated an IP address via DHCP.

HAH stopped responding, won't reflash to HAH...?

HAH stopped responding, won't reflash to HAH...?

Hi,

For some unknown reason my HAH stopped at around 03:00 this morning 29/01/12. I reset the box but it would not boot - the LCD display shows 8 blocks on the left hand side of the screen...

I re-booted without the HAH-Hardware attached but still nothing, the left hand LED flashes quickly and the center LED was doing 3 slow flashes, pausing and then doing another 3 slow flashes...

CurrentCost EcoManager Support

Is it possible to include support for the EDF branded EcoManager as a CurrentCost device? 1+14 channels, 57600 baud.

Here is sample output for a couple of minutes (whole house, and Ch3 connected) -seems to be two sections - live and history.

xAPFlash and port forwarding

have two issues that I dont think are related, but may be:

1. I have xAPFlash installed on a linux box on 192.168.1.30 and iserver on the HAH on 192.168.1.20. On the internal network all is great, but from outside, I get the page, but no info in the boxes that should show me watts and temp. Also the lightbulbs are missing if you know what I mean.

2. The new xAPFlash gui on the HAH works with the basic page, but no info in the boxes even in the internal network.

Backup and Restore

When trying to restore a backup file from the web gui I get the following message :-

Invalid MIME type expecting application/gzip

I'm running 300 and tried it with Chrome ane IE8, has anyone else tried it?

avr fried - advice on Avrdude

OK, firstly let me confess to being a dumbass. Today I rebooted my Livebox with the 1wire 3mm jack only half plugged in. This must have shorted my AVR as it has not worked since and the webgui shows version 1.0 when it was 3.4.

I have put in an old chip with the Bascom URF code on it and this works fine so I am sure it's just the chip I have fried.

However, cock up number two came when I decided to try to re-flash the broken chip using my ISP AVR programmer, this too got fried in the process. Yes I am a genious.

Flashing Problem

While updating to 296.4 I lost connection to the HAH during the erasing blocks section, I let it a while but it didn't seem to finish, and now it won't boot.

Can this be fixed?

Losing serial connectivity/lockups.

I seem to be having an issue where the Livebox looses connectivity with my Jeenode and also the HAH board after a couple of days, sometimes its possible to ssh into the unit and see what is going on, at other times ssh will start to connect but will then freeze before login.

Using xFx Viewer, I can see xap messages for the hub and the attached CurrentCost but not for the Controller or Jeenode...

I managed to get the following output -

iserver crashing/freezing

The iserver on my system is freezing quite often, at least a couple of times a day.

On the web portal, I get Connection refused: check iServer is running

On XFX viewer, I can see that the heartbeat has stopped after just short of 3 hours. Obviously the joggler is not responding until I reboot the livebox.

Any ideas how to diagnose this?

I am running Build: 289/1.0
