Is anyone using a wireless temperature sensor to monitor their Immersion/cylinder? If so can you share how you've achieved his i.e. what kit is needed?

No airwick not required

The airwick is just an enclosure with pir etc, not required if you just want temperature :)

OK cool thanks will give it a go although the soldering may be a problem for me as I've never done any before! Is there anywhere I can buy already made up versions of these?

Not that i know of

But i don't mind knocking you a set up (and programming chips/testing if i have to-ill just copy mine) as long as you are prepared to wait as i still have roomnode to knock up myself (been sitting on bench waiting for a week now-oil tank sensor) and as long as you are willing to pay postage :)

Just get Derek to send parts to me (he has my address) and ask him "nicely" to program chips appropriately-(that way it will make my life a bit easier) ensure you pay the recorded postage as i would hate for us to fall out because of a post offices mistake!

I know you will have to be trusting but i will do it within a couple of weeks of receiveng parts-work keeps getting in the way of having fun :(

I can solder and have certificates somewhere to prove it-I have an HND in electronics and an HNC in tellecommunications and you don't get them unless you can solder.

I also have to ask how far is the HAH from the immersion?

Thanks Dean that’s really good of you to offer this, of course I will pay costs, I will speak with Derek and get back to you, thanks again. Distance is approx. 5 to 10 meters max my HAH is at the bottom of the stairs in a wooden cupboard and the cylinder is at the top of the stairs pretty much line of sight.
