Hi all,

I am very new to all this, I have my livebox up & running and wish to control my

Homeasy remote switches, I have a set of HE830s, cos I already had some in

use around the house.

Are the on/off codes for this model available? I have asked Homeasy and so far have got nowhere!

If not, should I change to another brand/type?

Thanks.

Comprehensive support for HE

HE is well supported. I've not yet seen an HE device that the HAH couldn't control. If you happen to find that the already published sets of URF codes don't work, you can loan me an RF handset/RF socket & I'll do the necessary decode for you.

Derek.

HE830 codes

Thanks Andrew,

Tried all of your codes with no success I'm afraid.

I am also in the process of working through the long list of HE302 codes

posted by g7pkf. Again with no luck.

He mentions a rotary wheel in the control box, well my 830's do not have any switches

rotary or dil. So I am having to try all the combinations - slowly.

If there is any further information I would be grateful.

As a complete newbie, I am finding the learning curve very steep - but really

interesting.

Thanks to all

Try a 'proven' unit

Ken,

It might be worth making sure that your HAH can control an 'already decoded' RF mains switch. There are quite a few HE and BBSB units that have already been documented.

This would let you know that your RF transmitter was actually working (e.g. some folks forget to run the 15V feed wire to the HAH PCB and others have mis-soldered the connection to the RF Tx module).

You can pickup a 'proven good' socket module quite cheaply ... something like this http://halx.co.uk/home-easy-he302s-remote-controlled-rf-socket-silver-3000w-en.html

Cheers,
Derek.

HE830 codes

Thanks Derek,

Hmmm, that would be a bugger wouldn't it.  I will have a look at that.

It seems to be working though, cos when I operate the RF switches from the control panel I can hear

some kind of signal across the speakers.

But as you indicate, not all of the 830 units operate very well, I seem to be unable to 'teach' a socket from

the hah box. And I have got very cross with another after trying to teach with the HE remote

Hi Ken,The 830s have a learn

Hi Ken,

The 830s have a learn feature (button / led on front), i have found this can be a bit hit and miss but generally i find it works best just after plugging into the mains with no codes stored in unit and learnt from the HAH with a good range from the HAH no further than a few meters.

hold down the button for 2 seconds (wait for led to flash) send "on" code from HAH

this tends to work for me good luck

Start by deleting all 'learnt' remotes

Further to Andrew's comment re the 'learn' button. This style of socket can only 'learn' to respond to a certain number of transmitters. So, it's best to start every traininig attempt by first deleting all of the previously learnt remotes.

Looking at the instructions ...

Remote Socket reset:

To delete all the remote control units from the memory of the receiver socket, hold the "Learn" button for more than 6 seconds, the LED will start to blink continuously. Press the "Learn" button again, the LED will blink twice to confirm that all paired remote controls have been deleted from the receiver sockets memory.

Cheers,
Derek.
