If you have problems locating a spare you may want to try a IBM Thinkpad T40 power supply unit. They are available on ebay for £6.75 and may prove more robust than the Inventel PSU.
Thanks for that Mike. I've now got one winging it's way to me, but I do like the idea of that, I'll have a look. I take it you've used one for the same purpose?
